Buenos Aires, April 16 (NA) — Dr. Esteban Mahiques, brother of Juan Bautista, was officially appointed on Thursday as head of the Advisory Cabinet of the Ministry of Justice of the Nation. It was indicated that the position will be “ad honorem”.

“Dr. Esteban Mahiques is appointed with an “ad honorem” character, as of March 6, 2026, to the position of Head of the Advisory Cabinet of the Ministry of Justice,” stated Decree 251/2026, published in the Official Bulletin and accessed by the Argentine News Agency.

The formalization of the appointment was signed by President Javier Milei and the head of the Ministry of Justice, and it stated that Esteban Mahiques' function began to take effect on March 6, 2026, as Juan Bautista Mahiques assumed the position at the beginning of said month.
